Ingleborough Hall specialises in providing quality outdoor experiences. Instruction and leadership is available in range of cave and mountain activities, from introductory to advanced levels. The Centre has a small team of highly skilled and professionally qualified staff offering friendly, expert tuition. All are currently active cavers or climbers with substantial personal experience; this is your quality assurance. Full accreditation is also held from the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) to provide caving, rock climbing and mountaineering activities to under 18s.
The following opportunities are available:
- DAY ACTIVITIES FOR NON-RESIDENT GROUPS. The Centre can offer tailor made sessions to suit your own requirements, whether for adults or youngsters. Activities available include Caving, Rock Climbing, and Gorge Scrambling in addition to general hillwalking and curriculum based studies. Sessions can be half or full day. Please contact Ingleborough Hall to discuss requirements, dates and cost. An additional charge for equipment hire is made to groups of five or more. Maximum group size depends on the level of activity.
SKILLS TRAINING in all aspects of Caving, Rock Climbing and Mountaineering is available to individuals and small groups, either as part of a tailor made course or as a one-off day. Fully catered or bed and breakfast accommodation may be available. Training can include taster sessions and introduction to basic techniques for beginners, through to advanced personal and rescue skills. Whether you are looking for rigging and rescue for SRT, introduction to lead climbing or multi pitch rock climbing skills the Centre's professional staff can offer you individual attention and tuition to suit your exact requirements. - NGB AWARDS. Ingleborough Hall and its staff are accredited to run National Governing Body Training and Assessment courses for the BCA British Caving Association. In addition we host MLTE Mountain Leader Training England courses for Dales Ventures / Apex Training.
All necessary protective clothing and technical equipment can be supplied. This ranges from boots, rucsac and waterproofs for walking, rock shoes, harness, chalk bag and helmet for climbing, and wet suit socks, wellies, furry undersuits, protective oversuits, helmet and FX lamp for caving. Ropes and complete personal SRT kits are available as appropriate.
The Centre has an extensive range of facilities geared to your safety and comfort. Toilets, showers and changing rooms, tea and coffee, teaching and training areas are available to all, whether or not you are resident at the Hall. In-course transport is normally available, utilising one of the Centre's minibuses which are all are equipped with forward facing seats complete with factory fitted full seat belts.
